Microsoft's Web Services Development Kit is finally out the door. Whew! It's been an exciting time building this. It offers advanced functionality for .NET Web services, like WS-Security and WS-Attachments. Enjoy!

Spent a few minutes this evening catching up on Snell's blog.

1) Congrats on the newborn!
2) Looks like we are the same age. :-)
3) Intermediaries are totally useful, especially for two scenarios: a) B2B into the corporate firewall through an intermediary in change of secure services and dispatch, and any time you need to virtualize your network topolololololoogy.

WS-Security Addendum is up.

Here's an experiment. I'm going to invite Sam to dinner next week in Boston, via this weblog. I'm interested to know how far we an take weblog discussions. Usually, this kind of thing would happen via a more immediate form of conversation, like email or IM. But, I'm curious how it plays out via blogging. I'm also interested in the side effects...

Hey Sam: respond on your blog if you'd like to meet up. I'm thinking Wed evening. Let me know. Thanks, bro!

Dave wants to use the internet to unseat Howard Coble.

I don't know enough about Ms. Grubb to know if I'd endorse her, but on first look, she's a much better choice. (Who wouldn't be?) Can weblogs be a political force? I think so, especially if they result in money for Ms. Grubb's campaign. My only nit with her so far is that she's not a democrat. ;-)

Why oppose Coble?
1) He's a republican, the party of this platform. The modern-day republican party is not the party of Teddy Roosevelt. It's the party of Ken Lay.
2) He's sponsoring this bill.

Dave: Where were you 25 years ago? (I was a grad student in Madison, Wisconsin.)

I was nursing, and waiting to turn 1 years old. That said, I've always been a fan of Elvis. Been playing his Aloha special songs lately (via listen.com, which is worth the $9.95).
